I'd dare not to trade Kadri for Trouba.

don't worry, we still have to see Martin and Polak play this year, and can you imagine if Prust somehow actually makes the team

The great Trouba would get the leafs into the playoffs, so they can trade their 1st round pick, it'll be no better than 16 anyway..

I must have watched a different game. Gardiner was pretty good. Some filthy cross-ice feeds to spring Brown and/or set up Brown.

Kadri had a couple slick plays but other than that, he wasn't super noticeable.

Didn't think either of them were bad.

Also, it's 1 game of preseason with maybe 5% of the opening night roster in the lineup and horrific goaltending. Did you expect us to crush them?

I hope he does.

I wouldn't mind Rychel, Komarov, Martin and Prust one on each line. Make some space for the skill guys to do their thing and keep the rats honest.

That's just hockey I like to watch though. Couple of flashy players with a more physical player alongside them

Gards has skills, but he goes into a lag, where he forgets to skate, or move..... I guess he expects everything to stop for him.. I expect more from him every time I see him play. Kadri was not dishing the puck, trying to do too much with it. We must have watched a different game.

Trouba is not worth JVR or Kadri, let someone else shoot themselves in the foot.

I don't disagree with this, but could you imagine the outrage from many of the bloggers on the various sites if that happened at the expense of a prospect being lost on waivers?

Actually it might be worth it just see the blogosphere explode and rip apart the inter webs.
